What if they don't have an email address?
All votes will be verified via email; we ask that an email address that the voter has access to
is inserted into the voting form (i.e a family or friend's email address).
Alternatively a contact telephone number must be sent in to verify the vote,
otherwise the vote will not be counted.

What if they don't live in Queensland?
These awards are specifically designed for organisations/bussinesses within the South-East Queensland region. All businesses participating in the Awards need to be registered in Queensland. Votes from your customers from other Australian states, who use your products and services, are eligible to submit a vote and will be counted towards your results.

Can paper votes be sent in for counting?
NO. Only online votes will be counted in this year's awards.

How are the votes verified?
All votes will be verified via email.
The person who placed the vote will be contacted and asked to confirm their vote,
the nominee and the award category.

What do I win?
All award winners will be presented with an eloquent trophy, engraved with your organisation/business details.

What do runner-up winners receive?

Are all types of pets excluded from Outstanding Pet Shop - No Pets Award?
What about fish?
The Outstanding Pet Shop - No Pets Award has been revised and a decision has been made to exclude ALL types of pets from this category, including fish, guinea pigs, rats, mice, reptiles, birds, cats and dogs. Pet shops that act as a rehoming centre for animal shelters will remain under this categorry, Outstanding Pet Shop - No Pets.

After submitting a vote, I received a 'Thank you' confirmation, but below I received the following error message "The web site you are accessing has experienced an unexpected error" - has my vote been successful?.
Unfortunately no. This error means that some required fields have been left blank and the vote has not been successful. We have stated clearly on the Voting Form that no required field is to be left blank. "Unknown" is to be inserted if no other information is available. All votes will be verified via email, if there is no email, a contact number must be submitted for verification purposes.
